What goes wrong ## What it costs to leave it The faults and shortcuts we are called out to correct most often, and what they end up costing. ### Small faults spread One bent Venetian slat catches the next and twists the ladder tape. One missing vertical louvre puts uneven load across the carriers. A frayed cord runs rough through the mechanism until the mechanism is the problem too. Left alone, a cheap repair becomes a full replacement, that progression is the single most common thing we see. ### Forcing a jammed mechanism breaks the expensive part When a blind stops moving, pulling harder transfers the load to the clutch, the gearbox or the tube.
